Core Sample is Sinkhole's third full-length album. We recorded it in frigid February 3-8 1996 at Big Sound, Westbrook Maine with Mark Trombino. We released it on Ringing Ear Records, then run by guitar player Jon Clark.

The album has been out of print for a long time, and the record label dormant. Now, in 2008, we are releasing the album under the Creative Commons Attribution License, to make it easier to find and listen to.
