My friend Jon came to visit us in Botswana, and Jon and I went on a camping trip through parts of Botswana, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

The first day we drove to Nata, on the edge of the salt pans.

Morning in the Nata Bird Sanctuary.

In Serobe, outside Maun, Botswana. We're headed for the Moremi Game Reserve.

We saw a lot of impala in Moremi.

Jon photographing Zebras.

No zoom needed.

That blob with ears is a leopard, I swear!

Between Moremi and Chobe. We were thoroughly lost when I took this shot.

In Chobe National Park, Botswana, between the south gate and Savuti.

San rock painting on a hill near Savuti.

The view from the hill. We just sat here for a while, picking out elephants
in the binoculars.

A Boabab tree near Serondela, on the banks of the Chobe River.

A large tree-climbing primate.

This impressive lizard was squatting in our campsite when we arrived at Serondela.

Mongeese on the run.

On the banks of the Chobe River. Those blobs on the right are hippos.

Hippo right-of-way.

Hi!

Chobe River.

You can't argue with that sunset.

Reuben (i.e. our vehicle) on the ferry at Kazangulu. We're between Botswana and Zambia.

A small subset of Victoria Falls.

I'm about to lose my shirt, but that's another story.
