Fish Chowder ============ Reference: https://cooking.nytimes.com/recipes/1020005-speedy-fish-chowder In a pot, saute: some butter [optional] diced bacon diced onion diced carrots diced potatoes diced celery Add: salt pepper [optional] paprika [optional] Add: corn on cob or frozen corn Add enough liquid so potatoes are "almost swimming": water or white wine or fish stock Add: bay leaf Simmer until potatoes are tender. Add: splash of milk or cream Allow to heat and thicken slightly. Add: fish, cut into pieces. Cod is great. Around 1/4 lb per person. Cook 5 more minutes. Yum!
